Fly a trainer kite, set up your kiteboard gear, and learn all essential skills to safely kiteboard in the Red Sea. This 9-hour course will take you from beginner to confident rider, covering body dragging, board handling, water starts, and solo kite flying in the water.

Step 1: Fly a Trainer Kite

If you haven't flown a trainer kite, your instructor will have you fly one for about 10 minutes before using a power kite. This ensures safety and helps you learn faster.

Step 2: Setup Your Kiteboard Gear

Setting up your equipment properly is crucial. You will receive detailed guidance to ensure safety and a smooth kiteboarding session.

Step 3: Wind-Windows, Self-Rescue & Kite Knowledge

Your instructor will teach kite flying techniques, self-rescue methods, and other essential kiteboarding skills for safe and fun sessions.

Step 4: Launch & Land a Power Kite

Learn hand signals, positioning, and proper techniques to safely launch and land a power kite with your instructor’s guidance.

Step 5: Fly an Inflatable Power Kite With Assistance

Fly the kite in the water with instructor assistance. Learn safe positioning and get hands-on fine-tuning to control the kite effectively.

Step 6: Fly the Kite Solo in the Water

Once comfortable, fly the kite solo while the instructor holds onto your harness for safety, gradually building confidence and independence.

Step 7: Body Dragging

Experience the kite’s power while body dragging in the water. Learn correct body positioning to progress safely and confidently.

Step 8: Body Drag Upwind & One-Handed Kite Flying

Learn to drag upwind using one-handed kite flying techniques, a critical skill for advanced kiteboarding control.

Step 9: Board Drags

Learn board handling while body dragging upwind. Start with instructor-assisted drags, then progress to independent board drags, preparing for water starts.

Step 10: Water Starts & Board Riding

Combine kite flying and board skills for water starts. Learn to pop up on the board, ride short distances, and practice with instructor feedback to ride safely and efficiently.
